Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis) : Aloe is actually a cactus plant that belongs to the Liliaceae family. Growing in dry climates, it has been used medicinally for centuries. The Ancient Egyptians called in the Plant of Immortality. Aloe Vera also contains an abundance of vitamins including vitamin A, B1, B2, B3, B6, C, and E. With the vitamins come minerals as well, with calcium, iron, potassium, copper, manganese, selenium, sodium, chromium, and many more are naturally found in the Aloe Vera plant.
Aloe vera gel contains two hormones: Auxin and Gibberellins. These 2 hormones facilitate wound healing and anti-inflammatory properties that reduce skin inflammation. Giberellin in aloe vera stimulates the growth of new cells. It allows the skin to heal quickly and naturally with minimal scarring.
