We all know Oregano (Origanum vulgare) is an outstanding seasoning agent… in many delectable cuisines including Mediterranean and Italian fare, but we bet you didn't know it also works wonders on your Hair & Scalp!  A botanical native of Europe, naturally extracted Oregano oil works practically like magic to treat and prevent dandruff, while enhancing hair growth. 

Oregano oil/ extract contains anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory bioactive compounds like Carvacrol, Thymol, Rosmarinic acid, Terpenes and Ursolic acid, which naturally inhibit the growth of microbes responsible for causing dandruff. The compounds Carvacol, in particular, is even used in medicinal shampoos to help prevent dandruff, and is also used to soothe the irritation and itchiness associated with eczema, atopic dermatitis, rosacea and other skin issues. 

Oregano oil is extremely volatile and is therefore blended with a 'carrier oil' such as Sweet Almond Oil or Olive Oil in our natural shampoos and conditioners to improve its functionality. These formulas prevent dryness and ensure that these rich antioxidants reach your hairs' roots. The fortifying antioxidants in Oregano remove toxins and dead skin cells from the scalp and also balance the level of sebum (oil) to help reduce hair thinning and prevent formation of split ends.
