Meadowfoam seed oil is cold pressed from the seeds of Limnanthes alba, a beautiful flowering plant native to Oregon and some areas of the Pacific Northwest. It’s called ‘Meadowfoam’ because of its beautiful blooming flowers that resemble the sparkling white-colored beach foam.

Meadowfoam oil is a very lightweight natural oil that nourishes and protects dry Skin and Hair. With over 98% of long chain fatty acids, Meadowfoam is a highly stable oil, which keeps the entire formula from oxidizing for years. Due to this property, it is combined with other oils and botanicals to improve stability, or shelf-life of a product. It also facilitates the delivery of beneficial nutrients deep into the dermis.

Being similar in texture to natural sebum, Meadowfoam seed oil is a good carrier oil that finds the sweet spot between excessively dry and oily skin to help rebalance optimum levels of skin moisture content. It is non-comedogenic, (doesn’t clog pores) and is helpful in healing acne and addressing sensitive skin issues. 

The oil is an excellent deep hair conditioner that repairs damaged hair fibers without leaving a greasy or weighed down feeling. The Vitamin E in this oil protects the hair, especially from sun damage and pollution. The result?  Softer, Shinier hair!
