Licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) is one of the most widely used herbs worldwide and is the single most used herb in Traditional Chinese Medicine today. Licorice root extract is also used in natural Skin Care as a skin brightener, as it inhibits the enzyme tyrosinase needed to produce melanin (pigment), Improving hyperpigmentation is one of this plant’s best attributes.
